Doug Ireland is the concierge of a ritzy hotel in New York. He does what he has to to satisfy the hotel’s guests, by getting them what they need; like jewelry, candy mints, and theatre tickets. He also tries to keep the manager from terminating Milton, the bellhop, who was been working at the hotel for more than half a century, who likes to think that the spirit of the hotel’s founder is still around. Doug wants to open his own hotel on Roosevelt Island. Now he has saved every cent he could to get an option on an old hotel. Now he has a matter of weeks to develop the hotel or else he will lose it. But to do it he needs at least 3 million dollars and his best chance to get it is Christian Hanover. While Hanover considers Doug’s proposal, he asks him to “take care” of his girlfriend, Andy, a girl whom Doug has the hots for but is constantly turned down when he asks her out, cause she doesn’t want to be two timing her boyfriend, Hanover. Now Hanover is married but says that “he will divorce his wife and marry her”. Doug doesn’t exactly believe him but thinks that his hotel is more important and Andy can make her own decisions. But the more Doug spends with Andy, Doug is starting to wonder what is important.

Somewhere in the 80s, trucker Jack Burton arrives in a small town to deliver his cargo and win a few bucks playing cards with the locals down at the Chinese market. Practically bankrupting nearly all of his opponents, his friend Wang bets him a game of “double or nothing” to try and regain his cash and loses. Jack wants his well earned money, but Wang explains he doesn’t have the cash on him and that’ll he pay later because he’s due to pick up a long, lost girlfriend from the airport. Convinced Wang’s pulling something sly, Jack insists he drive Wang to the airport so they can stick together. However, at the airport Wang’s girlfriend is captured by the Lords of Death, a streetwise Chinatown gang. She is essential for an upcoming plan to revive a thousand year old Chinese sorcerer and bring him back to the world as a mortal again. So begins a daring adventure to rescue Wang’s girl and stop the ruthless operation that’s going on down in Little China. Teaming up with a cast of very different individuals, Jack and Wang delve deep into an uncovering conspiracy in which everything’s not exactly as it seems. Here comes big trouble…

Ollie Trinkie is a publicist, who has a great girlfriend, Gertrude, whom he marries and they are expecting a baby but while he is looking forward to being a father, he doesn’t lighten his workload. Gertrude gives birth but dies in the process. Ollie doesn’t live up to his responsibilities as a father. Eventually the strain and pressure of losing his wife and being a father gets to him and he has breakdown, which leads to his termination. So with nothing much to do he tries to be good father to his daughter, Gertie. He also meets a young woman name Maya, who likes him but he is still not over his wife.

In “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2,” based on Ann Brashares’ best-selling series of novels, four young women continue the journey toward adulthood that began with “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.” Now three years later, these lifelong friends embark on separate paths for their first year of college and the summer beyond, but remain in touch by sharing their experiences with each other as they always have-with honesty and humor. Discovering their individual strengths, fears, talents and capacity for love through the choices they make, they come to value more than ever the bond they share and the immeasurable power of their friendship.

At once a merciless skewering of all things fanboy and an extremely satisfying addition to the Futurama franchise, Bender’s Game is among the best of the animated series’ feature length adventures. The game in question is Dungeons and Dragons, and Bender wants in—only robots aren’t programmed with the necessary imagination. Naturally, Bender’s plans to develop one go completely awry and land him in an android asylum. The role-playing plotline later re-emerges—in typically convoluted Futurama fashion—via a subplot involving Professor Farnsworth’s conversion of dark matter into spaceship fuel, which created a key to a very D&D-influenced universe where our hapless heroes eventually find themselves. The alternate world storyline allows for much lampooning of fantasy tropes, with Lord of the Rings receiving the lion’s share of the tweaks. Seeing as how the writers have already devoted much of the movie’s running time to parodying Star Wars and Star Trek (and their Lego offshoots), one might think that Bender’s Game might suffer from pop-culture overload, but surprisingly, it all feels fresh and frequently funny, and the writers are wise to ground the story in their eccentric characters rather than pinballing them through an endless string of gags. The result is probably the strongest of the direct-to-DVD Futurama releases to date, and one that newcomers to the show’s cracked universe can appreciate as much as longtime fans.As with previous Futurama DVD releases, the extras come fast and furious on Bender’s Game: commentary by members of the cast and production team (including Matt Groening) is both informative and funny, while interviews with the writers and producers discuss, among other topics, the influence of Dungeons and Dragons on the series and the 3D models used in the feature. Aspiring animators might appreciate “How To Draw Futurama in 83 Easy Steps and the storyboard animatic for the first part of the story, while the “Genetics Lab” feature allows for some amusing Dr. Moreau-style cross-breeding of the characters. Recording session bloopers and a deleted scene offer their own laughs, but the most enjoyable extra must be the preview for the next Futurama feature, Into the Wild Green Yonder, which suggests a shocking development for one of the show’s regulars.

In “Alice”, a snotty teenage girl gets her just desserts in the form of a demonic universal television remote. In “The Radio”, a security guard is driven to the very brink of madness and eventually murder thanks to a possessed radio. Next up, in “Call Girl” a murdering, cold-blooded prostitute accidentally hooks up with a vampire client. In “The Professor’s Wife”, a demented professor with a taste for pranks tricks his two best students into believing he’s getting married. But there’s something rather sinister about his new bride-to-be. Lastly, in “Haunted Dog”, a cruel miserly doctor kills a homeless man by purposely giving him a contaminated hotdog - a tale of savage revenge from beyond the grave.
